1. Introduction
This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs the purchase of products and services offered by TODAY MEDIA, including but not limited to digital marketing services, website design and development, WhatsApp API and marketing services, SMS marketing, business directory listings, advertising services, magazine and publication advertisements, software, data services, domain and hosting services, graphic design, branding, lead-generation services and other customized business services.
By placing an order, making payment, accepting a quotation, approving a proposal, providing business information/content, or authorizing TODAY MEDIA to commence work, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
2. Nature of Services
Many services provided by TODAY MEDIA are customized, digital, advertising-based, subscription-based, third-party-dependent or commenced specifically for an individual customer.
Once work has commenced, TODAY MEDIA may allocate resources, purchase third-party services, reserve advertising space, register domains, configure software, prepare designs, develop websites, create marketing materials, process data, or initiate campaigns.
Accordingly, cancellation and refund eligibility may vary depending upon the nature and stage of the service.
3. Order Cancellation by Customer
A customer may request cancellation by contacting TODAY MEDIA through its officially designated communication channel.
Cancellation requests must include:
* Customer/company name
* Invoice/order number
* Date of purchase
* Service purchased
* Reason for cancellation
* Registered contact details
A cancellation request shall not automatically constitute approval of cancellation or refund.
TODAY MEDIA shall review the request according to the nature of the service, work already performed, third-party costs incurred and applicable terms.
4. Cancellation Before Commencement of Work
Where a cancellation request is received before TODAY MEDIA has commenced substantive work, TODAY MEDIA may, at its discretion, consider a refund after deducting:
* Payment gateway charges, where applicable
* Administrative charges
* Third-party charges already incurred
* Domain/hosting/software charges already purchased
* Any other non-recoverable cost incurred specifically for the customer
Any eligible balance may be refunded through the original or an appropriate payment method.
5. Cancellation After Work Has Commenced
Once work has commenced, the customer shall generally not be entitled to a full refund.
Depending upon the service, TODAY MEDIA may deduct the value of work already completed and all non-refundable expenses incurred before determining whether any amount is refundable.
Examples include:
* Website development already started
* Graphic design already prepared
* Advertising campaign already configured
* SEO work already performed
* Data collection or processing already completed
* Business listing already created
* Magazine/book advertisement layout already prepared
* WhatsApp API configuration already initiated
* Domain or hosting already purchased
* Software setup or subscription already activated
6. Digital Products and Software Services
Payments for activated digital products, software, subscriptions, licenses, API services, data services, or other digitally delivered services are generally non-refundable after activation, delivery or commencement of the service, except where a refund is required under applicable law or where TODAY MEDIA expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Where a third-party platform, API provider, hosting provider, domain registrar, advertising platform or software provider has already charged TODAY MEDIA, such third-party charges may be deducted from any approved refund.
7. Website Design & Development
Website development projects are customized according to the customer's requirements.
Once development, design, content preparation, domain registration, hosting setup, coding, configuration or deployment has commenced, cancellation may result in deduction of the value of work completed and expenses incurred.
If the customer delays providing content, approvals, credentials, images, documents or other required information, such delay shall not automatically create a right to cancellation or refund.
8. Advertising & Publication Services
For:
* Magazine advertisements
* Business directory advertisements
* Digital advertisements
* Sponsored listings
* Promotional campaigns
* Exhibition/event promotions
* Printed advertising material
* Book advertisements
* Online directory listings
cancellation may not be permitted after the advertisement has entered design, layout, printing, publication, scheduling or campaign execution.
Where advertising space or publication space has been reserved specifically for the customer, any refund shall be subject to the stage of production and expenses already incurred.
9. Digital Marketing & Advertising Campaigns
For SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, social media marketing, WhatsApp marketing, SMS marketing and related services, refunds shall be assessed based on work already performed and expenses incurred.
Advertising budgets paid to third-party advertising platforms are subject to the policies and refund rules of those platforms.
TODAY MEDIA shall not be responsible for non-refundable charges imposed by third-party advertising platforms after the customer's campaign has been launched or funds have been deposited.
10. Domain, Hosting, API and Third-Party Services
Domain registration, hosting, SSL, software licenses, WhatsApp/API services, SMS credits, email services and other third-party services may be subject to separate terms imposed by the relevant service provider.
Once such services have been purchased, activated or registered specifically for the customer, the associated charges may be non-refundable, subject to the applicable provider's rules and applicable law.
11. Customer-Caused Delay or Non-Cooperation
TODAY MEDIA shall not be liable for delays caused by:
* Failure to provide required information
* Failure to provide website content
* Failure to provide photographs, logos or documents
* Delayed approvals
* Failure to respond to communication
* Incorrect information supplied by the customer
* Changes in requirements after approval
* Failure to provide access credentials
* Non-payment of outstanding amounts
* Delays caused by third-party platforms or service providers
Such circumstances shall not automatically create a right to cancellation or refund.
12. Change of Mind
Cancellation solely because the customer has changed their mind, no longer requires the service, found another service provider, or expected a different commercial result shall not automatically qualify for a refund, particularly after work has commenced or expenses have been incurred.
13. Refund for Deficient or Unfulfilled Services
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude rights or remedies available to customers under applicable Indian law.
Where TODAY MEDIA has failed to provide a paid service or has provided a service that is demonstrably deficient, the matter may be reviewed and an appropriate remedy, correction, replacement service, partial refund or other lawful remedy may be considered depending upon the circumstances.
The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 contains provisions concerning deficient services and refund of consideration in applicable circumstances.
14. Refund Approval
A refund, where approved, shall be calculated after considering:
1. Work already completed;
2. Third-party expenses;
3. Payment gateway charges;
4. Domain/hosting/API/software charges;
5. Advertising or media expenditure;
6. Design, development and production costs;
7. Taxes or statutory charges, where applicable;
8. Any other amount already incurred specifically for the customer.
The final refundable amount, if any, shall be communicated to the customer.
15. Refund Processing Time
After approval of a refund, TODAY MEDIA shall initiate the refund within a reasonable processing period.
The actual crediting time may depend upon the customer's bank, payment gateway, card issuer, UPI provider or other payment service provider.
Where a payment has been made through a third-party payment gateway, TODAY MEDIA may process the refund through the same payment mechanism where technically and operationally possible.
16. Taxes and Government Charges
Where applicable, GST, government charges, statutory fees, payment processing charges or other amounts already deposited or incurred may not be refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Any refund calculation shall therefore be based on the amount legally and commercially refundable after applicable deductions.
17. Service Replacement or Correction
Before requesting a refund, the customer may be required to provide TODAY MEDIA with a reasonable opportunity to correct a genuine service issue where the issue is capable of correction.
For website, design, digital marketing or other service-related complaints, TODAY MEDIA may offer:
* Correction
* Revision
* Rework
* Replacement service
* Alternative service
* Partial refund
depending on the nature of the complaint.
18. No Guaranteed Business Results
Payment for marketing, advertising, SEO, lead generation, website development or promotional services does not constitute a guarantee of:
* Sales
* Leads
* Revenue
* Search-engine ranking
* Website traffic
* Customer enquiries
* Advertising conversions
* WhatsApp responses
* Business growth
Marketing results may depend upon market conditions, customer pricing, competition, advertising platforms, customer response, website quality and numerous external factors.
Failure to achieve a particular commercial result does not, by itself, establish a right to a refund.
19. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions
TODAY MEDIA reserves the right to investigate transactions suspected to involve:
* Fraud
* Unauthorized use of payment instruments
* False information
* Chargeback abuse
* Duplicate claims
* Manipulation of refund requests
* Misrepresentation of facts
Where appropriate, TODAY MEDIA may suspend services while the matter is investigated.
20. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers are requested to contact TODAY MEDIA before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
Where a chargeback is initiated after services have been delivered or commenced, TODAY MEDIA reserves the right to provide relevant invoices, communications, approvals, service records, delivery evidence and other documentation to the relevant payment provider or financial institution.
A chargeback does not automatically establish that a refund is due.
21. Customer Approval
Where the customer has approved a design, quotation, website layout, advertisement, content, campaign, listing or other deliverable through email, WhatsApp, written communication or another documented method, such approval may be considered evidence that the relevant stage was accepted by the customer.
Subsequent changes requested by the customer may be treated as additional work and may incur additional charges.
22. Promotional Offers
Special discounts, promotional packages, introductory offers, bundled services and complimentary services may have separate cancellation and refund conditions.
Where a promotional package contains multiple services, cancellation of one component shall not automatically entitle the customer to a refund of the entire package.
23. Refund Method
Approved refunds will generally be made to the original payment source or through another lawful payment method agreed by TODAY MEDIA.
TODAY MEDIA shall not be responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways, card networks, UPI providers or other financial intermediaries.
24. Grievance Resolution
Customers may first raise cancellation or refund concerns directly with TODAY MEDIA.
The company shall review the complaint based on:
* Invoice/order records
* Payment records
* Service status
* Customer approvals
* Communication records
* Work completed
* Third-party expenses
* Applicable terms and law
Where applicable to TODAY MEDIA's activities, grievance handling shall be conducted consistently with applicable consumer-protection requirements. The Consumer Protection framework includes provisions concerning grievance redressal and e-commerce entities.
25. Exceptions Required by Law
Nothing contained in this policy shall be interpreted as:
* Waiving a statutory consumer right;
* Excluding a remedy that cannot legally be excluded;
* Authorizing an unfair or deceptive business practice;
* Preventing a customer from exercising a lawful right;
* Restricting the jurisdiction of a competent authority or court where such restriction is legally impermissible.
Where applicable law requires a refund, replacement, correction or other remedy, TODAY MEDIA shall comply with such requirement.
26. Policy Modification
TODAY MEDIA reserves the right to modify, update or revise this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time.
The version applicable to a customer's transaction shall generally be the version in force at the time of the relevant purchase, subject to applicable law.
27. Acceptance of Policy
By purchasing or continuing to use TODAY MEDIA's services, the customer acknowledges that:
* They have read this Cancellation & Refund Policy;
* They understand the cancellation conditions;
* They understand that customized and commenced services may not qualify for a full refund;

* They agree that refund requests shall be evaluated according to the service status and applicable terms;
